International Bowling
This evening was an event cosponsored between InterVarsity and the International Education Center as we took the newest International students bowling. About 60 students, primarily sophomores from South Korea arrived about two weeks ago for their first semester in the US. IV's goal was to provide transportation and make friends with them. As I wandered around near the end of bowling, I heard lots of invites for movies, meals, and church in the morning. Hopefully this will be the start of some great friendships. I know last year, I made two great friends through bowling that I still keep in touch with, one of whom will be going to church with me in the morning. She also taught me how to make sushi. Friendships are a wonderful two way street as we share our cultures with each other. Our partnership with International Education has made it possible... now we'll see where God leads it.
